GHG Crediting Program

BioCarbon’s GHG Crediting Program provides a robust framework to certify climate mitigation projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with measurable, high-integrity results. It covers a wide range of solutions, including nature-based solutions, clean energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, and waste management.

Verified Carbon Credits (VCCs) are issued only after rigorous, independent third-party verification. Every project shall demonstrate real, additional, and permanent climate benefits. The Program’s methodologies align with best practices and ensure robust carbon accounting through conservative approaches and transparent monitoring.

At BioCarbon, we believe climate action should also promote sustainable development. All certified projects are required to apply environmental and social safeguards and demonstrate clear contributions to at least three UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with indicators for environmental, social, and economic impact.

All credits are listed in the Global CarbonTrace public registry, an independent platform that ensures full traceability and transparency, including project information, issuance records, credit serial numbers, and retirement history.

We are committed to building a trusted carbon market that delivers real climate impact while protecting nature, people, and the future.
