BioCarbon is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and responsible conduct across all its programs and operations.

To support this commitment, BioCarbon has established an integrated integrity and compliance framework composed of policies, procedures, and governance mechanisms designed to ensure ethical conduct, prevent misconduct, and safeguard the credibility of its standards and systems.

This framework is designed to align with internationally recognized principles of ethical conduct and responsible governance and is adapted to the global and multi-jurisdictional nature of BioCarbon’s activities.

All individuals and entities participating in BioCarbon programs, including personnel, service providers, project participants, and third parties, are expected to adhere to these principles and to comply with the standards of conduct established by the organization.

Code of Ethics

BioCarbon’s Code of Ethics defines the core principles and standards of conduct that guide all activities carried out under its programs.

It establishes expectations for ethical behavior, integrity, transparency, and respect in interactions with stakeholders, including project participants, local communities, Indigenous Peoples, public authorities, and market actors.

The Code also provides guidance on:

  • ethical decision-making
  • conflict of interest management
  • responsible engagement with stakeholders
  • reporting of concerns or potential misconduct
 

Compliance with the Code of Ethics is mandatory for all individuals and entities involved in BioCarbon programs.

Anti-Corruption and Integrity

BioCarbon maintains a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, fraud, and other forms of misconduct.

The organization has implemented internal policies, procedures, and controls designed to identify, prevent, and manage risks related to unethical conduct across its activities.

These measures are intended to ensure that all operations are conducted with integrity and that any form of improper conduct is addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.

Where breaches of ethical standards are identified, BioCarbon may take appropriate actions in accordance with its governance framework and internal procedures.

Financial Integrity and Responsible Conduct

BioCarbon is committed to promoting integrity in financial and operational activities associated with its programs.

Measures are in place to support responsible participation in environmental markets and to prevent misuse of systems, including procedures related to identity verification, due diligence, and compliance screening of participants where appropriate.

These measures contribute to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and credibility of BioCarbon’s programs and registry systems.

Grievance Mechanism and Compliance Channel

BioCarbon provides channels through which stakeholders may submit questions, concerns, or complaints related to its activities, programs, or the conduct of individuals involved in its operations.

These channels are designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Concerns may relate to:

  • ethical conduct
  • integrity of processes
  • compliance with policies and procedures
  • potential misconduct or irregularities
 

Through our PCC channel, you can submit requests, claims, suggestions, and questions about the management, services, and procedures of our organization.

In line with our Code of Ethics and Values, BioCarbon has also established the Ethic and Compliance Channel to facilitate the submission of complaints, reports, and grievances and grievances by BioCarbon personnel and/or external stakeholders regarding.

BioCarbon encourages the use of these channels and is committed to handling all submissions in a fair, confidential, and responsible manner.

Privacy and Personal Data Protection

BioCarbon is committed to protecting personal data and ensuring that information is processed in a secure, transparent, and responsible manner.

The organization has adopted a Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy that establishes the principles, rules, and safeguards governing the processing of personal data across its programs and operations.

BioCarbon ensures that individuals are able to exercise their rights related to personal data and that appropriate technical and organizational measures are in place to protect personal information.

BioCarbon may update its Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or technological developments.

Individuals may exercise their rights related to the processing of personal data, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy
