BioCarbon only issues Voluntary Biodiversity Credits (BioCredits) once an accredited Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) has audited the Biodiversity Conservation Initiative and BioCarbon has confirmed conformity with the BioCarbon Biodiversity Standard (BBS) based on the resulting Audit Report.
CABs shall comply with the principles of the BBS, maintain a valid accreditation scope covering biodiversity conservation evaluation activities, and act at all times in accordance with the mandatory principles of impartiality, competence, and coherence.
Conformity assessment bodies interested in auditing Biodiversity Initiatives intended for BioCredits issuance under BioCarbon shall complete the Application Form and submit it, together with all required documentation, to cab@biocarbonstandard.com.
