Founded in 2018 as Proclima, we began our journey as a passionate initiative to address global environmental challenges. Over the years, we have grown into a global leader in the certification and registration of greenhouse gas (GHG) projects, biodiversity and sustainable water management initiatives.
Rebranded as BioCarbon, we continue to expand our reach and impact, combining rigorous standards with innovative solutions to combat climate change and preserve our planet’s biodiversity and ecosystems.
Our mission is to continuously contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development, in alignment with the goals set forth in the Climate Action, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development Agendas, including the Paris Agreement, the Kunming-Montreal Agreement, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
To this end, we provide an advanced and innovative framework of rules, methodologies, and tools that enables our users to generate lasting and tangible impacts in climate change management, as well as water and biodiversity conservation—driving their sustainability goals and promoting progress aligned with global sustainability principles.

BioCarbon is a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. As participants, we reaffirm our commitment to the Ten Universal Principles on Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption, as well as to actively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
