BioCarbon applies a structured performance evaluation system for all Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) authorized under the Program. This oversight system is designed to ensure quality, impartiality, and consistency in the validation and verification of mitigation activities.<\/p>

The evaluation process includes:<\/p>

  • Document reviews of validation and verification reports, accreditation status, and internal procedures;<\/li>
  • Personnel interviews to assess technical competence, impartiality, and ethics compliance;<\/li>
  • On-site audit observations, where applicable, to verify adherence to sampling protocols and assurance levels;<\/li>
  • Non-conformity tracking, including Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Clarification Requests (CLs), and Forward Action Requests (FARs);<\/li>
  • Annual or ad hoc audits, depending on performance history or complaints received.<\/li><\/ul>

    Sanctions may be applied in cases of serious or repeated non-compliance, including:<\/p>

    • Additional reviews or surveillance audits;<\/li>
    • Temporary suspension of approval;<\/li>
    • Revocation of approval in cases of critical non-conformities.<\/li><\/ul>

      Evaluation results are classified into three categories: Full Compliance, Partial Compliance, or Non-Compliance, and are used to inform internal oversight and project eligibility decisions.<\/p>

      Findings may also be reported to accreditation bodies in accordance with best practices and transparency requirements under the BioCarbon Standard.<\/p>
