Each consultation period remains open for a minimum of 30 calendar days from the date of publication. Its principal accounting mechanism is the demonstrated displacement of virgin-material production by usable secondary or recycled material. Where applicable, it also accounts for avoided methane emissions from diverting eligible paper and cardboard from disposal pathways that would generate methane.<\/p><p>The consultation aims to receive technical feedback and stakeholder input to further strengthen the methodology prior to its final adoption.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
